I truly believe that everyone is doing the best they can at any given time.
Prior to opening my private practice, I worked for a non-profit agency providing individual, couples and family counseling, and facilitating groups. During my time there I worked with people in major life-transitions dealing with extreme stress, trauma and intense grief; all through a strengths-based lens of attachment theory. I am forever grateful for my time in this setting as it overwhelmingly reinforced my belief that conflicts arise when we become stuck in unhealthy behavior patterns, giving people the benefit of the doubt can be powerfully healing, and the most dire of circumstances can lead to the most beautiful outcomes.
